Introspective storyteller. Fertility & Full-spectrum doula.
Kierá the Doula.
The creation of life has always been one of those truly fascinating phenomenons that many have been blessed to experience. Still there are so many families who struggle with trying to conceive. From a holistic scale, it’s important to make sure we take care of our minds & bodies first, and eliminate some of the unhealthy pressures we place on ourselves. By definition, a doula is someone who provides physical, informational, and emotional support—throughout the entire family planning process. Fertility doulas are available to help you in your journey to a healthy conception. In a time where the maternal mortality rate for women of color is grossly alarming, doulas have been crucial, filling in where modern medicine has left these vulnerable populations behind. My doula style is to first listen, understand, then guide and support.
Kierá the Photographer.
At our deepest core, we are all human beings, made up of our personal experiences and greatest influences, deserving of a genuine love in its most radical form. Our photos tell a story because we all have one. Our actions are governed by our mentalities and what we see is only a perspective of what we know. I want to help us all move forward as the human race, closer towards compassion and understanding.
Kierá the Lifelong Learner.
Kierá earned her B.S. in Global Community Health from George Mason University. There, she was exposed to health inequities on a global and domestic scale. After graduating, she spent some time working with a breast surgeon who specialized in breast cancer patients. While there, she recognized that although breast cancer affects White women at higher rates, it was killing Black women much faster. After taking care of her mentally ill father and having her own mental health scare, life led her down the path of holistic mind-body wellness and here, is where her journey of self-discovery, healing and passion for women’s health justice, began to blossom.
Kierá enjoys personal hobbies of learning new languages and culture, travel, biking, art and anything that involves being by the water.
